With reference to this case in which the parties

are involved in a claim for division of property, this

Court renders the interim judgment as follows

Preamble.

This Court is to accept jurisdiction in this case.

Facts

With reference to the claim of 37,000.00 made by

the Plaintiff against the Derendant for division of the

Estate, the Defendant contends that as her husband who

was the donor was born in British territory, he had

already acquired British nationality and that this Court

has, in fact, no jurisdiction over this case. In support,

the Defendant produces a British passport as proof.

Counsel for both parties thereupon request the Court to

render an interim judgment on this point,

Grounds

In this case, the Defendant claims that her husband

Teeng Su Cho was born in British territory and that he

had therefore acquired British nationality, but we find

that in accordance with Articles 10 and 11 of the Chinese

Law of Naturalization, if one wishes to denaturalize one

has to observe certain provisions therein provided.
